"Growing up by the North Sea in Western Europe has made me feel home whenever I’m around water, and so most of my work features water in one of its many forms. There’s something so breathtakingly powerful about the sea and yet so life-giving to all the creatures that live there, that it never ceases to inspire me. I’m passionate about painting the natural world and love using natural materials whenever possible. I paint on wood and my cabinet-maker husband repurposes discarded hardwood to create their custom frames."
