ANIMALS | Liam Reynolds

Showing Jan 16 to Jan 30th 2023 at N/A Gallery

"I make art so people feel things. As human beings, it’s very easy to get caught up in our own thoughts, emotions, and subjective opinions. These things are what often divide us. As an artist, I try to make simple scenes that resonate with anyone, regardless of who they are or where they’re coming from. To connect us together, through shared experiences. I make art for the subconscious. For the spirit that lingers inside. I make art as a celebration of life, and a display of my own humanity. The work you are seeing now is a preview of the body of work I am currently working on for my upcoming solo show-my animals, hence the name of the show. Each subject represents a part of ourselves that we might not want to acknowledge, or a part which we can find reflected in the natural world around us. The whole body of work represents the complex relationship between ourselves and the things that are also alive in this world too."
